For the student laptop movement to succeed, students need convertible tablet PCs. With a convertible tablet, students can lay their computer down on the desk during class. This removes the visual barrier of the computer screen from between the teacher and the student. It also makes it much easier for the classroom teacher to monitor what each student is doing with their computer during class.
